After completing my initial training at the New Hampshire Institute for Therapeutic Arts (NHITA), my primary area of continued study has focused on pain relief, pain management, sports massage, and oncology massage. In addition to my private practice, I am a member of the Mercy Hospital Oncology Massage team and a hospice volunteer. I find that my daily yoga practice gives me insight into pain and strain patterns that affect bodily health and balance.

Continuing Education. . .
Orthopedic Massage: To date, I have completed 400 hours of advanced training, with particular emphasis on orthopedic assessment and treatment. I have earned the Orthopedic Massage Specialist Certification through Whitney Lowe's program of study. Lowe is director of Orthopedic Massage Education & Research Institute in Oregon and is a nationally recognized expert and author in this field. I have also studied orthopedic pain management with James Waslaski, national trainer and owner of the Center for Pain Management in Texas.
Neuromuscular Therapy (American Version): I recently began advanced training in neuromuscular therapy with the Neuro-muscular Center of Florida and plan to continue with their comprehensive program of study over the coming year(s). Sports and Myofascial Massage: My techniques have been based on the CORE Institute's sports massage and myofascial therapy training, where I received certification in Advanced Sports Massage and training in "CORE Myofascial Therapy." I have also studied myofascial and clinical techniques with Bob King, national trainer, author, and founder of the Chicago School of Massage.
Deep Massage: I was introduced by David Lauterstein (co-founder of the Lauterstein- Conway School of Massage in Texas) to "Deep Massage," an approach that works with structure and energy simultaneously to promote health of body, mind, and spirit. I have also completed the first level of Reiki training.

Oncology Massage: I was fortunate to study with Tracy Walton, one of the pioneers in the field of oncology massage, prior to working with people who are being treated for cancer.
Intra-oral techniques: My studies of temporomandibular dysfunction began at UNH and were enhanced by further study with Tom Myers, founder of KMI, a school of structural integration, and author of Anatomy Trains and with the Neuromuscular Center of Florida.
Kinesiotaping: I have also been trained in the therapeutic use of kinesiotape, which can be used to complement/prolong the effects of soft tissue treatment.
